Zurich/Dusseldorf, May 24, 2006 – Swissport Aviation Security (Checkport), a product line of Swissport International, the world’s Number 1 ground handler starts to provide full security services including passenger profiling for US carriers outside the States. Already carried out TSA (Transportation Security Administration) inspections showed that the requirements of the department of Homeland Security of USA are successfully conducted.

Swissport Aviation Security has taken a big step forward and enters the European security market for US carriers. This is a major breakthrough as Swissport is now offering full security service in accordance with TSA requirements and uses the latest technology at the passenger interviewing point. The state-of-the-art CPM tool (developed by ICTS Europe) assists security staff to clear TSA watch list as well as identification of suspicious signs. The Swissport security manual that includes all security training's such as passenger profiling, basic aviation's security was successfully approved and highly regarded by both Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.

A high level delegation from Delta airlines headquarters and several representatives from the Germany Government attended the inauguration flight Delta Air Lines DL 24/25, Atlanta-Dusseldorf-Atlanta. Louis Seliner, Vice President Swissport Aviation Security is extremely pleased about the new contract and states: “We are very proud to be Delta’s new security provider in Dusseldorf and are looking forward to showing the benefits of combined security and handling packages to DL and other carriers. “ Pierre Spain, Regional Director Europe, from Delta Airlines is also very positive about the new partnership: “Having a ground handler as security provider is a real benefit to us. We are delighted to have Swissport supporting our operations in DUS, and this agreement builds on our longstanding business partnership.

Further developments


Europe: As of May 1, United Airlines has given their security in the hands of Swissport (Checkport) at Zurich Airport. With the exclusion of passenger profiling, all other security services will be handled by Swissport.

Africa: Swissport (Checkport) in Nigeria was awarded the handling of North American Airways for all security functions including passenger profiling. Start-up in Lagos is planned for June 2006.
